Registration
Membership Registration

Membership fees are not refundable or transferable.

Activities Participation
  • Who May Attend: All registered Girl Scouts may attend council programs. Unless otherwise noted on the program detail page, girls who are not already members of Girl Scouts will need to complete an annual membership registration to participate in GSSN program events.
  • Grade-Level Restrictions: Most activities are designated for specific grade-levels. In order to best serve the girls that the activity was designed for, we do not make exceptions to the listed grade-level restrictions. Allowances for Girl Scouts with special needs or other circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • Adult Participation: Most GSSN programs are girl-only events. If adult chaperones are required or a program is designed for family participation it will be noted on the program detail page.
  • Tag-Alongs: A tag-along is a child not currently registered as a Girl Scout. Tag-alongs are not covered by Girl Scout activity insurance and may not attend programs unless it is specifically noted in the program details. 
Registration & Confirmations (excluding Camp)
  • All activities require advance registration and full payment unless noted on the program detail page.
  • Shopping Cart:
    Once you select an activity, it is placed in your shopping cart. Your space is not reserved until the registration is completed and will expire within one (1) hour or when the activity is sold out.
  • Program Capacity:
    Some programs fill quickly, so register early! Late registrations will not be accepted, even if the program did not reach full capacity. This ensures that our staff and program partners have time to finalize plans and acquire supplies for the program. Unless otherwise noted, walk-ins are not accepted for GSSN programs, events, or training activities.
  • Registration Receipts:
    Once you complete your registration, your receipt will appear. This receipt is the only activity registration confirmation you will receive. If you are not presented with a detailed receipt, you are not registered. Please contact girlscoutshelp@gssn.org for assistance. You can check the status of your registrations at any time in your My GS “My Events” tab. 
  • Confirmation Emails:
    A detailed confirmation email will be sent approximately one-week prior to the event for all GSSN-facilitated programs. Confirmations will include location information, links to required program forms, packing lists, and any program specifics that you may need.
Cancellation & Refund Policy

Refunds will only be issued if a notice of cancellation is received at girlscoutshelp@gssn.org  prior to the published registration deadline. If the council cancels a program, a full refund will be provided.

  • Cancellations received after the registration deadline are not eligible for a refund or transfer of event fees.
  • Emergency (medical) cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. A letter from a physician must accompany a written request for the refund.
  • There are no refunds for no-shows on the day of the event.
  • No-shows who received financial assistance will not be eligible for financial assistance for six months following the event. 

Non-Refundable Activities:
Activities marked non-refundable will not be refunded or transferred.

Transfers:
Transfers will only be considered if the request is received at girlscoutshelp@gssn.org prior to the published registration deadline.

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance: 
  • Submit a request for financial assistance.
  • Available for all currently-registered girl members. 
  • After it has been processed, you will receive an email with the status and the amount of funds received. 
  • Please note that your spot is not reserved until the FA form has been processed and back-office registration is complete.
  • If a program or event requires an initial deposit, the deposit must be made online before submitting the request for financial assistance.

Camp Registration
Registering for Camp:

  • Click the title to see all programs offered during that session
  • Click "register now" to register in your MyGS account for the program of your choosing!

Register early and save!
Early camp registration discounts are available through March 31. 

Please note:

  • Each program is for girls entering the designated grade, not their current grade
  • Registration deadlines are 2.5 weeks before a session starts
  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Financial assistance is available
  • GS Bucks (formerly Cookie Dough) and financial assistance cannot be accepted as the deposit, but will be accepted toward any final payment due
  • By registering for camp, you acknowledge that you accept the terms listed on the Camp Parent/Guardian Permission Agreement.
Camp Cancellation, Refund, and Transfer Policies

For programs that require full payment to register (i.e. Troop Camp, Family Camp, and other weekend programs), there will be a $20 per person cancellation fee.

In the event of GSSN cancelling a camp program due to low enrollment, any monies paid will be refunded.

In all other circumstance, any monies paid (less the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit) will be refunded only if:

  • The camper is placed on a waitlist or if the financial assistance amount requested is not fully granted. A written request for the refund must be submitted and received at the GSSN Reno Service Center at least three (3) weeks prior to the camper’s first day of camp.
  • The camper cannot attend due to illness or injury. A letter from a physician must accompany a written request for the refund.
  • The camper is sent home from camp due to illness or injury. Refunds are prorated in such cases and will be made only at the written request of the parent/guardian. Written requests must be received no later than thirty (30) days after the camper’s return home.

Refunds will not be given if the camper leaves early for any other reason.

Transfer Policy

We can transfer your camper’s registration from one camp program to another camp program prior to the registration deadlines. There will be a $20 transfer fee applied to your new registration. This is non-negotiable. Payments cannot be transferred to another camp participant.

Camperships
Camperships

At Girl Scouts, we believe that camp is for every girl. And thanks to our generous donors and our Send a Girl to Camp appeal, we’re thrilled to be able to offer camperships in order to give more girls the opportunity to experience Girl Scout camp. 

Complete the Financial Assistance/Campership Application.

Use the online registration system to make your deposit. 

Please note: 

  • You must register online before your Financial Assistance/Campership Application will be processed. 
  • Camperships will be processed and applied in April after GS Bucks have been applied.
  • You will receive an email notification if your campership is granted and any balance due.
  • Camperships are only available for one session of camp per girl (to ensure that we are able to assist as many girls as possible).
