Sell Cookies Online Safely!

Online Cookie Marketing Policy

Girls ages 13 and older may use their personal, private social media accounts or send text messages and emails as online marketing tools to let family, friends, and past customers know about their cookie sale!

For safety purposes, please keep in mind that:

  • Girls under the age of 13 cannot independently set up any online marketing or social media sites. They may, however, use their Cookie Supporter’s social media page with their approval and supervision. Be sure to print out the Internet Safety Pledge and sign it with a parent/legal guardian.
  • Girls over the age of 13 may work in partnership with an adult to market products online via their personal social media site.
  • Girls cannot have customers pay online through any external site. The only approved site is through Little Brownie Baker’s Digital Cookie.
  • Girls may not list their email address, physical address, or phone number to the public. Only the troop leaders’ contact information may be listed.

Please note: Regardless of the age of the girl, all social media sites must be personally-owned by the girl or Cookie Supporter. Girl Scouts may not advertise on any community garage sale pages, homeowner’s associations, community bulletin sites (i.e.: Nextdoor), buy/sell groups, etc. Though customers will ask about cookies in these community groups, please only share the Cookie Finder publicly.

Digital Cookie Pledge

Participating in Digital Cookie? Take the Digital Cookie Pledge!

Digital Cookie is friends and family driven, and you will be able to create your own Digital Cookie site so that your friends and family can purchase cookies online. You will also learn and practice the five business skills (goal setting, money management, people skills, decision making, and business ethics) in a modern digital setting.

Your participation in Digital Cookie may be terminated if you do not follow GSUSA's Digital Cookie Pledge, so please read it carefully! You must agree to this Digital Cookie Pledge by clicking "I ACCEPT" in order to participate in Digital Cookie.
