Virginia Barnes
Virginia “Ginger” Barnes, a former Girl Scout, retired from a 34-year career in the aeronautics industry. She was most recently employed at The Boeing Company as the Vice President of the Space Launch System program.
Previous to her work at Boeing, Ginger served as the President and CEO of United Space Alliance LLC (USA). During her career, she had incredible opportunities and challenges working on the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle program and the Space Launch System rocket. She also worked on state-of-the-art fighter and bomber aircraft, weapons and modernization for the U.S. Army.
In retirement, Ginger remains involved in aeronautics as a commercial pilot and instructor, and as an FAA-designated examiner for hot-air balloons.
