Process for New Accounts

  • The troop representative should verify that the requested signers have been registered and background checked.

  • The troop representative should start the process by choosing the new account link.

  • Signers must complete Troop Money Management course & quiz found in gsLearn.

  • Upon completion of the form each signer will be emailed instructions for completing paperwork to the email provided in the request.

  • The signers should complete all paperwork following the instructions in the email. If those options are unavailable, paper forms can be mailed to the Banking Coordinator at the Girl Scouts Council at 119 E Coronado Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85004-1512

  • Once all forms are returned, the Banking Coordinator will forward to Wells Fargo.

  • The account should be opened with 7-10 business days and Wells Fargo will send an email to all parties with account number and next steps.

  • The troop should then make a deposit within seven days, set up online banking, and add the Council Representative to the online account. All directions are outlined in the initial directions to the troop when the forms were initially sent and again in the opening email from Wells Fargo.

  • Checks can be ordered by the troop using troop monies - follow guidelines in the Troop Money Management Manual.
Process for Signer Change
  • The troop representative should verify that the requested signers have been registered and background checked.

  • The troop representative should start the process by clicking the signer change link

  • Signers must complete Troop Money Management course & quiz found on gsLearn.

  • Upon completion of the form each signer will be emailed instructions for completing paperwork to the email provided in the request.

  • The signers should complete all paperwork following the instructions in the email. If those options are unavailable, paper forms can be mailed to the Banking Coordinator at the Girl Scouts Council at 119 E Coronado Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85004-1512

  • Once all forms are returned, the Banking Coordinator will forward to Wells Fargo. You may call the Banking Coordinator at 602-452-7055 to provide any information that you do not want to list on the forms.

  • The changes should be complete with 7-10 business days and an email will be sent to all parties.
Banking Supplies

We currently use Carousel Checks for our supplies and you can utilize a 10% discount by typing in SAVE10. You may also purchase a “Deposit Only” stamp at any office supply store or Wal-Mart. 

Banking Dos and Don'ts

 Don't destroy the banking supplies if your troop disbands.
 Notify the Banking Coordinator and return supplies to your MSE.
 

Online Banking Instructions

Once the Troop has received notification that their Wells Fargo bank account is open or a signer change has been made:

EACH SIGNER SHALL
  1. Call 1-800-956-4442 to register for Online Banking and to receive Online Statements only.

  2. You will be prompted to key in your Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council bank account number.

  3. The system will then prompt you to enter your PIN number. Press “0” at this point and the system will automatically route you into Business Online Banking.

  4. When the representative answers, please state that you are calling to register for Online Banking and to receive Online Statements only.

  5. The representative will ask you questions to verify your identity. These questions may include: Name, Social Security number, address on the account (119 E. Coronado Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85004 – belongs to GSACPC), last deposit (let them know account is newly opened), date account opened (you can let them know account was just opened), etc.

  6. If the representative seems unable to help you, ask to speak with a manager and see if they can assist.

  7. To add the Council Representative to View Account Online:
    As long as at least one signer has enrolled in Online Banking, that individual shall:
    • Sign in and go to Security and Support
    • Select Account Access Manager
    • Select Manage Guest User
    • Select Add New User
    • Input:
      • First Name: COUNCIL
      • Last Name: BANKING
      • Email Address: BANKING@GIRLSCOUTSAZ.ORG
      • User Name: TROOPXXXXXAB (use first initial first name and first initial last name)
      • Password: GSACPCBANK1
      • Choose View Access from the drop down box and click submit.
         
  8. To set up account alerts, please follow the instructions below.
    • View your Messages & Alerts inbox (or click the Messages & Alerts tab if you’re already signed on).
    • Select Set Up/Modify Alerts.
    • To set up account alerts, choose an account for which you want to add or edit alerts.
    • You’ll also be able to add general and security alerts from this page.
    • Next, use the check boxes to select or de-select specific alerts. Remember to enter dollar thresholds and frequency of alerts where appropriate.
    • Click Save.

Requirements
  • All accounts must have two signers who are registered members of the troop. A third signer designated by the Service Unit will also be added to all accounts.

  • Council policy prohibits any Girl Scout employee from serving as a signer on the account. You may, however, utilize a neighborhood representative from your Service Team or another troop.

  • Council policy prohibits anyone who is related or living in the same household from serving as signers on the account.

  • All signers must be registered and background checked.

  • All signers must possess an Arizona drivers license or State issued ID.

  • Name Changes: Require a new signed Addendum and copy of marriage certificate or other certified document.
