TechGirlz is accomplishing its mission through the creation of free, fun, interactive “TechShopz” led by industry professionals, community leaders, and students. We share our free workshop curriculum with companies, organizations, schools and community groups so they can inspire girls around the world with technology. We have curriculum to support badges of Girl Scouts as well as provide instruction to help GS reach their badges. Our vision is to create a world where girls have a lifelong passion and confidence in their use of technology throughout their careers.

TwistsNTurns presents a unique and interactive detective game experience in which Girl Scouts become active participants in our immersive stories, and must work together as a team to unravel the plot before time runs out! Our immersive escape room/murder mystery experiences are led by a detective facilitator. Girls will feel like they've entered into a movie or video game, as they will be looking for clues, solving puzzles and riddles, and trying to catch a culprit all while earning a badge! Through the use of animations and special effects, girls will experience an exciting, realistic mystery solving experience that will put their detective skills to the test!

Join Spectacular Sundays at Chicago Ballet Center! Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies, try a dance class, have some fun, and make new friends. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Girls will listen to a famous fairy tale and then learn how to become a character in the story. Dancers perform at the end of the class. No experience or dance shoes necessary—just a willingness to have fun and use imagination and creativity!

We have two Community Farms, located in Bronzeville and Sauk Village. Experience local nature firsthand on Saturday, September 24 during Girl Scout Day at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum! Daisies and Brownies in grades K-3 will have the opportunity to observe bugs up close, investigate different local habitats in an outdoor nature adventure, explore the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven and all of the Nature Museum exhibits. Bring a bagged lunch and take a mid-day break with your troop in one of the Museum's private meeting spaces.

After lunch, explore the museum exhibits at your own pace, taking time to document all that you see in a provided journal. Daisies will work toward their Trail Adventure badges, and Brownies will have the opportunity to work on their Bugs badges.

*Each girl must attend with a supervising adult. This is not a drop-off event. Adults do not need to register this event.

We offer woodworking and building workshops that allow Girl Scouts to use power tools to create their own projects. They will learn from a female woodworker and be introduced to the basics of building along with other creative mediums such as painting and yarn work. Registration is discounted to $25/girl for troops. Private events require a 10 guest minimum.
