Recruitment Process
Open positions are posted on our applicant tracking system as they become available. Once an application is received, a team member fluent in the position will assess skillsets relative to the needs of the job. Qualified prospects will be invited to continue to the next phase of the hiring process, which may include:
- phone interview with GSGCNWI recruiter,
- phone interview with the hiring manager,
- in-person interview
The hiring process can take anywhere from three weeks to a few months, depending on the position. All interested candidates should be prepared to provide a list of references and submit to a background check.
We will adjust this process when required for public health.

My personal experience with all-girl environments motivates me to connect our Girl Scouts with resources and meaningful experiences. Making a difference has always been important to me and working for Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana has given me that opportunity. When a Girl Scout that I formerly knew as a Cadette called me on her High School graduation day to tell me that she was going to college to study to become a doctor because of my support to her through Girl Scouting…there simply are no words!
I love watching a girl go from quiet and shy to confident, assured and well spoken. The skills they learn from being a Girl Scout is evident in the things that they do. It is so motivating to know that I am a part of an organization that helps girls become leaders.
Over the years, I’ve learned so much from the girls who have used what they learned in girl scouting to earn scholarships, learn new skills, further develop their skills, and much more. Their stories as well as stories from volunteers energize and inspire me everyday.
I love knowing that all my work directly benefits the girls. I enjoy planning the events because I enjoy showcasing their awesomeness. I work with a fabulous team, and each one of us want what’s best for the girls.
