Whether you’re a new volunteer or you’ve been with us a while, we’ve got you covered! We offer gsLearn, Girl Scouts’ official online and on-demand training platform, scheduled, interactive webinars and trainings; and in-person training opportunities that empower our volunteers with the skills to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Volunteer Leadership Development Events

Nothing beats our leadership development events to learn valuable skills to enhance and enrich your leadership experience, network with other volunteers for support and of course, make new friends.

Administrative Team Conference

Every August, our new and returning administrative team members are invited to join us at the annual Administrative Team Conference. During this conference, service unit team members kick off the new program year with updates and pertinent information to their volunteer role/s. Volunteers considering joining their area service unit team are encouraged and welcome to attend.

Our next Administrative Team Conference is set for Saturday, August 19, 2023 to be held at our very own Camp Mary Atkinson. Please save the date and look for registration this summer! If you have questions regarding this event, please contact Carolyn Pridgen at cpridgen@nccoastalpines.org.

Co-Leader Academy

The annual fall conference for all troop co-leaders and troop volunteers is designed to be a fun training event that provides timely and helpful topics. The academy focuses on troop leadership, girl programs and troop management.

Our next Co-Leader Academy is scheduled for Saturday September 30, 2023 at Camp Mary Atkinson in Selma, NC. There will be an option for a Friday and Saturday night stay as well. Information on Co-Leader Academy 2023 is coming soon!

Are you looking for ways to up your leader game? Interested in meeting other leaders to share ideas and gain new perspective? Then Co-Leader Academy is the place for you! This annual conference is planned by a committee of co-leaders in conjunction with our Learning and Development team, and is specifically designed for co-leaders with all levels of experience.

This is a great opportunity to get information on the latest resources, get support with girl programming, learn creative and fun activities that you can take back to your troop, earn those much-needed certifications and so much more! Join us on Saturday September 30th for your chance to get training on the things you asked for!

Breakout Sessions and Workshops

VolunteerCon & Expo Conference

This conference is designed for all volunteers: troop co-leaders, troop treasurers, first aiders, service unit admin team members and more. We offer hands-on workshops, how-to-trainings, outdoor activities, fun and fellowship. The Expo will allow participants to meet and network with program providers (organizations from across our 41 counties that provide program opportunities for your girls), other troops, and council department to learn more about resources and programming opportunities available to your troop and girls.
