Corporate & Foundation: Community-Based Programs

At Girl Scouts, we strive to say “yes” to every girl, because every girl has the power to change the world. Whether she hopes to become an entrepreneur or engineer, a governor or a conservationist—and whether she is your future employee, employer, or community leader—Girl Scouting is a proven way to get her there.

Just as there is more than one way to be a leader, there is more than one way to be a Girl Scout. By collaborating with local organizations, Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts offers community-based programs that meet girls where they are: at schools, colleges, housing developments, libraries, and clubs. Through these programs, girls from throughout central and western Massachusetts—particularly those from underserved and low-income families—are building their courage, confidence, and character as they explore critical topics.

Girls are unmasking their inner superheroes as they dig into STEM and healthy living programs. They are channeling their inner heroine in bullying prevention and media literacy programs. And they are working with teams and learning what being a boss means as they run their first businesses in Financial Literacy initiatives.

These programs are possible because of corporate and foundation investors. Thanks to these supporters, girls are building robots, friendships, and lifelong skills, one program at a time.
