Save the Sloths, Start a Small Girl Scout Business! Believe it or not, fall is around the corner, which means it's time to take action! This year's Fall Take Action Project (formerly called the Fall Product Program) will have girls stepping up as young entrepreneurs to learn about and support the pygmy three-toed sloth! Troop leaders will receive a troop engagement kit, which includes info on how your girls can support the sloths, as well as individually-wrapped product samples to share. We'll be sending these kits later this month, so keep an eye out!
Pro-Tip—Pre-order this year's Girl Scouts Love Sloths tee by August 31, and you'll be able to kick-off the Fall Take Action Project in style at this year's virtual Digital Day on October 3.
Resources to Support Summer Sisterhood
From celebrating bridging accomplishments to staying connected
and upbeat by having fun with our Girl Scout community, here are
plenty of ways to succeed in supporting your Girl Scouts this summer:
Bridging Extravaganza!
Join Girl Scouts of Northern California in a multi-level bridging extravaganza on August 6, 2020 from 11 AM to noon! We will announce the winners of the first three Golden Gate Bridging Challenges, and to give all our Girl Scout sisters a chance to participate, the last two challenges will be a special video tribute featuring contributing participants, and a virtual friendship circle! (GSUSA also just published a new bridging guide if you want to brush up on your bridging knowledge.)
Summer of Sisterhood
Staying connected with friends is one of the biggest values of Girl Scouts, especially right now as so many girls must continue to stay distant from their besties. While we can do our best to support girls in how frustrating this situation can be, we and GSNorCal have come up with a host of digital ways for Girl Scouts to connect through our Summer of Sisterhood! Why not start off with this list of summery sisterhood activities, from a virtual scavenger hunt to a digital slumber party, complete with blanket fort!!
Wellness Activities
To support our girls as the pandemic continues, GSNorCal is offering loads of activities focused on mental well-being. Whether she's a Daisy or a rising high school senior, we have a program that will help her connect with friends and have some creative fun

Does your employer offer “Dollars for Doers"? Many
companies encourage their employees to volunteer in the communities
where they live and work—in turn, the employer will offer matching
dollars for the hours. Inquire with your Human Resources department
about your program, or check out this list of companies that offer this kind of
financial support!
