S.O.S. in Morse code is Save Our Ship, but in s'mores code it's the Summer of Sisterhood! This summer, GSNorCal is keeping Girl Scouts running all summer long. Girls will get to participate in a variety of patch programs and sisterhood building experiences designed to support and engage their Girl Scout spirit during this unique summer. Our second virtual troop series for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors begins again the week of July 15 with a focus on Outdoor Art badges. We'll also roll out trainings and support for all of our volunteer community, including best practices, peer panels, and adult learning. Volunteer Office Hours are Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, and our Hybrid Volunteer Support Webinars have started!
Psst... Looking for resources to support your girls as the country grapples with systemic racism and police violence? GSUSA has released some amazing resources on Raising Awesome Girls, including taking action against racism.
Resources for Summer Girl Scout Support
As we continue with our socially distant Girl Scout Year,
GSNorCal continues to make sure you've got the resources to make it an
amazing one all the way through the summer:
COVID-19 Resources
To help our volunteers make decisions on how and when to start meeting or planning events within their counties, we are working on checklists and resources that will walk you through the various decision-making factors. Given Governor Newsom's press conference today, which announced the return of increased restrictions for many of our council's counties, we are revisiting these guidelines and expect to share them with you after the 4th of July weekend. In the meantime, we are constantly updating Activity Finder with new virtual and hybrid events and programs.

exciting new opportunities!

Does your employer offer “Dollars for Doers"? Many
companies encourage their employees to volunteer in the communities
where they live and work—in turn, the employer will offer matching
dollars for the hours. Inquire with your Human Resources department
about your program, or check out this list of companies that offer this kind of
financial support!
