Make Double the Difference For the Girls. While many of us adjust to remote schooling alongside remote troop meetings, we at Girl Scouts want to make sure that no matter the ups and downs of life, our focus is on supporting girls throughout Northern California. The GSNorCal Opportunity Fund ensures all girls have equitable access to Girl Scouts, and the incredible sisterhood, supportive adults, and special experiences that make our programming so vital in our world today.
Thanks to the generosity of current and former board members, you can double your impact with the For the Girls Giving Challenge. Donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000! That means your gift of $10 becomes $20, or your gift of $50 becomes $100! Together we can raise $200,000 and give over 250 girls the gift of connection and belonging. All donors who donate by September 8, 2020 will be invited to our “For the Girls” online reception on September 10, 2020. Text ‘Sisterhood’ to 243725, or donate online to support the transformative power of Girl Scouts. Will you join us?
Resources for Remote Back-to-Troop Success
Coupons, patches, and resources, oh my! This new troop year may
be different, but we have everything you need to make sure it’s
jam-packed with sisterhood, support, and special experiences for your girls.
Invite a Friend to Start a New Troop and Receive a $50 Coupon
Expand your Girl Scout family! Invite a friend to start a new troop with at least four girls and one additional adult volunteer, and you’ll both get a $50 coupon to the Girl Scout shop! Both you and your friend must submit the Invite a Friend online form before October 31, 2020 to qualify.
Grow Your Troop and Earn a Patch
Your troop rocks, so why not make room for more sisterhood! You can increase your desired troop size so that new girls and adults can discover your troop and join in on the fun and learning. Submit the Grow Your Troop online form by November 30, 2020 and add at least one new girl and adult volunteer space. Then add at least one new girl and adult volunteer to your troop by January 31, 2021 to earn your patch!
Get Outdoors at Home
We may still be sheltering-in-place at one level or another, but the great outdoors is still right at your fingertips. Try out our new grade-level-specific Outdoors at Home activity guides or get your hands dirty as a troop with these creative DIY gardening projects for all ages!

Does your employer offer “Dollars for Doers"? Many
companies encourage their employees to volunteer in the communities
where they live and work—in turn, the employer will offer matching
dollars for the hours. Inquire with your Human Resources department
about your program, or check out this list of companies that offer this kind of
financial support!
