Silver Award Girl Scouts

Have you ever looked around your neighborhood or school and wondered how you could make a change for the better? Going for the Girl Scout Silver Award—the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn—gives you the chance to do big things and make your community better in the process.

You can pursue your Girl Scout Silver Award if:

You're in sixth, seventh or eighth grade

You're a registered Girl Scout Cadette

You have completed a Cadette Journey

You have attended a GSWESTOK Silver Workshop

 

Girl Scout Silver Award Steps
  1. Go on a Cadette Journey
  2. Identify an issue you care about
  3. Build your Girl Scout Silver Award team or decide to go solo
  4. Explore your community
  5. Pick your Silver Award project and submit a proposal
  6. After approval, develop your project
  7. Make a plan and put it into motion
  8. Submit your final report and reflect
  9. Celebrate your success!
Silver Award Workshops

Attending a workshop is not a pre-requisite for the Silver Award but is strongly encouraged  Completing a workshop helps the girls to better understand what the Silver Award is and what they will need to do in order to complete it. Workshops to Go Kits are available for check out with a $20 deposit.

Dates to Remember
  • March 1: Final reports must be received to be recognized at the Girl Awards Ceremony.
  • September 30: Deadline for final reports for membership year. Girls will be recognized at the Girls Awards Ceremony.
