Volunteer Resource Center FAQs

The Resource Center offers equipment and book checkout to support our Girl Scout troops and groups with ceremonies, badge work and outdoor activities.

Reservations are on a first-come/first-served basis. GSSWT will attempt to honor all requests, but availability is based on prompt return by other users.


How do I reserve equipment/books online?
  • Step 1: Request a Resource Center User Account.
  • Step 2: After receiving email that Resource Center User Account is activated, visit our Resource Center online catalog to place your reservation.
  • Step 3: You will receive a confirmation email confirming your equipment reservation with instructions for pickup/return.
When are orders scheduled for pickup and return?
  • Follow instructions in your email confirmation for pickup and return dates.
How long can I check out equipment or books?
  • Bridges are normally limited to a one week check out period.
  • All other equipment/books are normally limited to a 2 week check out period.
  • GSSWT Resource Center reserves the right to change the length of the checkout period during times of high demand.
What happens if I do not pick up the order on the scheduled pickup day?
  • Equipment or books are returned to inventory and become available for new reservations.
What happens if I am late returning equipment or books?
  • The requestor may be subject to late fees of $1 per item per day with a maximum late fee of $5 per day.
Are there any fees?
  • Cleaning Fee: Requestor is responsible for returning equipment clean & dry. A $25 cleaning fee per item may be charged for equipment returned dirty or wet.
  • Damage Fee: The user will be charged a damage or replacement fee for any item returned with damaged or missing parts.
  • Late Fee: Requestor is responsible for cleaning borrowed equipment, replacement of lost or damaged items and subject to late fees of $1 per item per day with a maximum late fee of $5 per day.

The VRC is the place that will help guide you, the Girl Scout Volunteer, along your Girl Scout journey. Together, we’ll plan amazing troop meetings that will show girls that they can have fun and do amazing things that change the world, all at the same time.

Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Wednesdays CLOSED
Friday  8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
2nd Saturday of month 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
 
Summer (June 1 - Aug 31) 
Monday - Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
2nd Saturday of month 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Borrow Materials from the VRC

Check out our new online reservation system and catalog! 
You can view online the Resource Center book, kit and equipment catalog, see if the item is available for check out and place an online reservation. Watch this How-To video to learn how to navigate the Resource Center Online Catalog!

A Resource Center User Account is required to use this online catalog. Request your online Resource Center User Account here.

Please return materials promptly, clean, dry and in good condition for the next troop's use. If items are dirty, wet, damaged or missing, a repair or replacement fee may be assessed.
