At its third annual Badge Bash, GSACPC raised $280,000 to benefit Girl Scouting in Arizona. GSACPC was joined by more than 500 attendees, including Girl Scout alum, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, and dozens of sponsors including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Arizona Cardinals.
This adults-only event gave attendees the opportunity to experience Girl Scouting first-hand and see how it can transform girls into G.I.R.L.s – go-getters, innovators, risk-takers, and leaders. Attendees gathered their “troop” of friends for a night of fun program-inspired activities to test their outdoor, healthy living, entrepreneurship and life skills, earning badges along the way. The activities ranged from archery to balloon dart painting to trivia.
After the festivities, guests enjoyed dinner under the stars and a short program on the power of Girl Scouting. The Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation was honored with the Promise Award for their inspirational leadership and continued support of Girl Scouting in Arizona. The award was accepted by executive director Laura Mitchell on behalf of the foundation.
To close out the night of fun and badge earning, attendees enjoyed an after-party filled with music, dancing, s’mores, dessert and drinks.
