2022 Volunteer Conference
Sunday, October 23, 2022, 9 AM-3:30 PM
Join us for the 2022 GSEMA Volunteer Conference at Camp Cedar Hill! We invite all of our volunteers to join us for a fun day of conversation and activities that will strengthen your skills, introduce you to new volunteers, and give you the necessary resources for an incredible membership year!
Lunch and snacks will be provided, and there is an exclusive Camp Explorers program for Daisies and Brownies on site for the duration of the Conference. Registration for the Camp Explorers program is required. Due to a limited number of spots available, we recommend registering immediately. Conference sessions do not require preregistration and fall into two tracks; participants can pick and choose sessions to their preference.
Discussion-Based Conference Track:
These sessions will be led by volunteer facilitators who will share their tips and tricks, common challenges, and their solutions. The four discussion sessions are as followed: Back-to-Troop, Creating Inclusive Spaces in Girl Scouts, Adventuring with Girl Scouts, and Reconnecting to Mission.
Activity-Based Conference Track:
These sessions will be led by volunteer facilitators who will demonstrate skills and activities in a hands-on, cooperative setting. The four activity sessions are as followed: Fire Skills, Girl Scout Traditions, Cooperative Games, and a Cedar Hill History & Nature Walk. Please note that the Fire Skills Activity Track does not qualify as a replacement for formal outdoor training.
