Giving Priorities

We believe that when girls succeed, so do our communities. Whether they’re coding a website, planting a rain garden, or running a literacy program, Girl Scouts are unleashing their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter)™ to build a better world for all of us, every day.

When you contribute to Girl Scouts of Northern California—no matter the amount—you make an immediate difference in the lives of girls. Every dollar you give stays right here in our communities, bringing Girl Scouting to more than 38,000 girls.

"Ruth Bader Ginsburg was such an inspiration to so many and I wanted a way to honor her. I got the idea for the masks from work our troop did in making masks for the Daughters of Farm Workers and was thrilled that they caught on so quickly. I know it was a tremendous blow to have so much damage to the camp sites and this was a way to let people know about the cause and help out a bit."

—Shoshanah Cohen on why she made RBG masks as part of a donation to Girl Scouts

Opportunity Fund

Each year, GSNorCal serves over 10,000 girl members who live in low-income communities. Your gift of any amount to the Opportunity Fund will ensure these girls have equitable access to Girl Scouts, and the incredible sisterhood, supportive adults, and special experiences that foster belonging and connection that are the core of our world-renowned leadership program.

Your Impact:

  • Just $50 could provide financial aid for girls and troops recovering from disasters, such as loss of jobs due to COVID-19 or the wildfires, promoting equitable access to essential Girl Scout experiences including badge-earning, field trips, camping, one-time events, and programs.
  • Gifts of $250 or more could help increase access to camp through our Path to Camp focus; support the councils’ work on launching Troop pilots in our most challenging communities in East San Jose and Antioch; or support our work around nurturing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for all girls by providing them a safe space to have tough discussions about racism and other issues facing our world.

Girls need our leadership program today more than at any other time in history. Your support can make a lasting impact.

Camp Investment Campaign

Camp is a place where all girls have the opportunity to unplug, learn new skills, discover their sense of self, and test new-found independence in a safe, girl-led environment. We have a remarkable opportunity to make capital improvements now that will allow us to build sustainable outdoor experiences for girls in the future. Give thousands of girls the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and take on challenges as they explore who they are and the world around them at Girl Scout camp.

Currently our priority projects are at Bothin, Hidden Falls, and Skylark Ranch. Your investment in ongoing maintenance and capital improvements at all our camps will ensure that our properties are cared for and ready to welcome campers for many years to come.
