Building Community. Building Our Future.

The Hub at Bothin

Thanks to you, we reached our $3M Goal for The Hub at Bothin!

Since the public launch of this campaign in March 2022, the Girl Scout community really came together to raise the remaining $300,000 left for construction and we did it in only 5 months!

Thank you to everyone for supporting our vision for The Hub, making gifts, helping to spread the word, and for helping to build tomorrow's leaders.

It's not too late to lend your support to this effort. Above and beyond the cost of construction, contributions of any amount could support furnishing the welcome center, camp office and meeting room. Funds could also support the programmatic elements of the space – such as tables, outdoor cooking equipment, art supplies, and materials for robotics kits, to name a few.

Check back for more exciting updates begin construction in early 2023, and plan for completion in 2024.

The Campaign in Brief

Girl Scouts of Northern California has raised $2.9 million of a $3 million Campaign for Bothin to build The Hub. With just $50,000 left to raise, now is the time to get involved. During COVID-19, we pressed pause on this project, and shifted our focus to prioritize virtual programs to keep girls connected safely. Emerging from the pandemic, the Hub’s purpose—to build connections with each other and with nature and to provide a safe space for shared learning and community-building—is more important than ever.

  • -Suzanne Bell, GSNorCal Board Member, Campaign Chair, Donor

  • "I’m supporting the Hub because Bothin is at the heart of our council and the Hub will be the heart of Bothin. Accessible to all and offering innovative space for girl and adult programming, the Hub will be a place where Girl Scouts can come together for the fun and life-changing experience that camp provides and leave equipped for lives of courage, confidence and character."

  • "Spending days and nights [at camp] with girls who comfort and encourage you in hard times, who help you overcome a fear or are understanding of your emotions, helps you become a better person. The best part of camp is knowing that when you leave you have accomplished something so special."

  • -Jessica P., GSNorCal Counselor in Training and Bothin, Sylark Ranch, and Sugar Pine Camper

  • -Cady Burstein, Troop Leader

  • "Camp Bothin has been an integral part of my Girl Scout experience. As I learn about the plans for the new Girl Scout Hub being built at Camp Bothin my planning brain is going at full speed. I can visualize all of the possibilities of having covered learning space and a more prominent greeting location to greet the campers we host for Camporee. Getting girls outdoors was Juliette Gordon Low’s dream and Camp Bothin is a realization of that dream. I look forward to more years of Camporee at Camp Bothin."
