ALAMEDA, CA – Girl Scouts of Northern California (GSNorCal) and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) announced that the new Raspberry Rally™ cookie will be the 10th cookie flavor to join the nationwide lineup for the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie season. The thin, crispy cookie is a “sister” cookie to the beloved Thin Mints®, infused with raspberry flavor instead of mint and dipped in the same delicious chocolaty coating. Raspberry Rally™ will be the first in the Girl Scout Cookie lineup to be exclusively offered through online sale and direct shipment only, further growing Girl Scout entrepreneurs’ e-commerce sales and entrepreneurial skills.
Raspberry Rally™ joins other Northern California customer favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, and Adventurefuls, and will be available to consumers during the 2023 Cookie season, which runs February 1–March 19, 2023.
“Our entrepreneurs have been engaging more and more in e-commerce and digital marketing in addition to in-person sales to reach their goals,” said Marina Park, Girl Scouts of Northern California CEO. “We want to support them in their new ventures as they learn important business best practices that will undoubtedly be useful to them now and in their future.”
In 2022, approximately 15,500 GSNorCal entrepreneurs participated in the cookie program. Of those participants, 72% set up a digital online shop, which is a 23% increase over the number of 2021 online shops.
Girls Scouts of Northern California is one of the largest councils in the country offering unique outdoor experiences, civic engagement, entrepreneurship opportunities, skill-building, leadership, and fun. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the cookie program are used locally and provide critical funds for girls’ access to affordable programming, the outdoors, camp and program centers, financial aid, and volunteer support services. In addition, Girl Scouts and their troops depend on these funds to support their community service efforts.
