Gold Award Girl Scouts
Issues of the world, meet your match.
Gold Award Girl Scouts are the dreamers and the doers who take
“make the world a better place” to the next level.
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the mark of the truly remarkable—proof that not only can she make a difference, but that she already has.
Seniors and Ambassadors who earn the Gold Award tackle issues that
are dear to them and drive lasting change in their communities and
beyond. Think of the Gold Award as a key that can open doors to
scholarships, preferred admission tracks for college, and amazing
career opportunities.

GSNYPENN Gold Award Scholarships
Thanks to generous donors, our council awards scholarships to Gold Award Girl Scouts each year at our annual recognition dinner. Funds are used by the girls toward advancing their education at an institution of higher education. Each final and approved Gold Award project is automatically considered for a scholarship in the corresponding member year. The recipient’s project must demonstrate the highest level of leadership, sustainability, measurability and national/global links among the current class. Our hope is that this scholarship fund continues to grow to support the lifelong learning that builds women of courage, confidence and character beyond their Girl Scout experience.
