Girl Scout Travel
Girl Scouts love to travel—from the field trips they take as
Brownies to the global adventures they go on as teens. If you
love exploring different places and cultures, then Girl Scouts is the
place for you. From a weekend getaway to an international excursion,
we have travel opportunities to fit your experience!
Let Us Know You're On The Go!
Leaders, as soon as you decide to start planning a trip,
read Volunteer Essentials for general guidelines and the
Safety Activity Checkpoints to learn more
about activities girls may want to participate in on their trip.
You can also check out these amazing resources to help you plan your
trip; Girl Scout Guide to U.S. Travel and Global Travel Toolkit for International trips.
Once your plans are set; Let Us Know You’re On the GO!!! Complete
the Girl
Scout Travel Approval Form and submit to info@girlscoutshs.org at least
two weeks prior to your trip.
Don’t forget to plan in advance if you’re doing a high-risk or
high-Adventure activity, and find out what you’ll need to make it an
amazing and safe experience!! For trips longer than 2 nights,
additional insurance is required and needs to be purchased through the
council. Please see the Additional
Insurance Request Form for more information.
The Girl Scout Travel Approval form should be
submitted when any trips are planned with the exception of traveling
to GSHS program events.

Girl Scouts Go
Pack your bags! We’re going on an adventure. With Girl Scout Go you’ll get to visit locations
around the world during these week-long trips that are designed
for older Girl Scouts.
These trips are organized by Girl Scouts Heart of the South and take
place annually on regional, national, and international bases.
Let's Explore
Let’s take a road trip! Let’s Explore trips are short, regional trips
designed for Girl Scout Juniors to venture out beyond their city.
Visiting places like St. Louis, Atlanta and other regional
destinations gives girls the experience of travel and seeing the world
outside her city.
