Talking with Youth About Race
Girl Scouts of Western Washington has committed to becoming an anti-racist, anti-oppressive organization. Not only are we training our volunteers and employees about racism and other oppressions, we want to provide you with resources for being able to engage with your Girl Scout(s) in productive conversations about race and racism. Below is a list of resources that may help you navigate these sometimes difficult or awkward conversations. Having the conversation, even if you don’t do it perfectly, is better than not talking about it at all.
