How to Join

You can join Girl Scouts at any point during the year! Please follow these steps to get registered for your choice of Girl Scout participation.

How to Join Tutorial Video

Join as an Independently Registered Member (IRM)

Click the “Join Now” button below to visit our registration site.
Select “Find a Troop” and continue through the search.
On the troop search page, select “apply to participate without a troop” to move forward.
At the Log In prompt, you can log into an existing account or create a new one.
Once you are logged in, you will be able to continue filling out your member details and payment information.
- You will pay $25 in membership dues. If you require financial assistance, please fill out the Financial Assistance Application in addition to completing registration.

*If you would only like to attend camp, you will need to register as an IRM before continuing with a separate camp registration!

Join an Existing Troop

Click the “Join Now” button below to visit our registration site.
Select “Find a Troop” and continue through the search.
On the troop selection page, you can select a troop by clicking the plus sign next to “girls” and “login” to either create a new account or login to an existing one.
- If you are unable to locate a specific troop, please continue with the IRM registration instructions to complete registration. Once your registration is complete, please email our Customer Care team with the troop number you are trying to join as well as the troop leader’s name(s). A council staff member will be in touch to complete your placement.
Once you are logged in, you will be able to continue filling out your member details and payment information.
- You will pay $25 in membership dues. If you require financial assistance, please fill out the Financial Assistance Application in addition to completing registration.
Your troop leader will be notified once you have completed registration and contact you to involve you with troop activities!

Join and Start a New Troop

Visit our Guide to Forming a New Troop for all the steps to form a new troop. Start the process by becoming a member!

Complete youth registration (if applicable).
- Click the “Join Now” button below to visit our registration site.
- Select “Find a Troop” and continue through the search.
- On the troop search page, select “apply to participate without a troop” to move forward.
- At the Log In prompt, you can log into an existing account or create a new one.
- Once you are logged in, you will be able to continue filling out your member details and payment information.
  - You will pay $25 in membership dues. If you require financial assistance, please fill out the Financial Assistance Application in addition to completing registration.
Complete adult troop leader registration.
- Click the “Volunteer Now” button below to visit our registration site.
- Select “Volunteer” and continue through the search.
- On the Volunteer Role selection page, please select “Become a General Member” to move forward.
- At the Log In prompt, you can log into an existing account or create a new one.
- Once you are logged in, you will be able to continue filling out your member details and payment information.
  - You will pay $25 in membership dues. If you require financial assistance, please fill out the Financial Assistance Application in addition to completing registration.
Contact our Customer Care team at 1(800) 541-9852 or customercare@girlscoutsww.org to let us know you have registered and would like to start a new troop in your area! A council staff member will reach out to you to follow up and give you a troop number.

Join as a Volunteer

Visit our Ways to Volunteer webpage to decide how you would like to volunteer!
Click the “Volunteer Now” button below to visit our registration site.
Select “Volunteer” and continue through the search.
On the Volunteer Role selection page, you can select a troop role by clicking “add role” and “login” to either create a new account or login to an existing one.
- If you are not volunteering with a troop, select “Become a General Member.” Please contact our Customer Care team at customercare@girlscoutsww.org or 1(800) 541-9852 to let us know which role you will be participating in!
Once you are logged in, you will be able to continue filling out your member details and payment information.
- You will pay $25 in membership dues and there is financial assistance available. If you require financial assistance, please fill out the Financial Assistance Application in addition to completing registration.

Transfer from Another Girl Scout Council

Email a completed Council to Council Transfer Request form to registration@girlscoutsww.org.

If you’re not sure how you’d like to participate, click the “Learn More” button below to fill out a participation interest form and let us know what you’re looking for! A council staff member will reach out to follow up with you about your participation.

Try Girl Scouts for Free

All new and interested Girl Scout families are welcome to try Girl Scouts for FREE at one of our upcoming parties!

These parties are a great opportunity to discover what Girl Scouts of Western Washington has to offer. Learn how Girl Scouts can be adventurous, earn badges, build friendships, and so much more! Join us for an hour of Girl Scout fun, adult Q&A, and an opportunity to register as a member. Feel free to bring a friend, make new ones, and just have FUN!
