Camp Evergreen

Located 15 miles west of Longview on Mill Creek Road, Camp Evergreen offers a network of rustic bridges that connect various parts of the 76-acre camp. Camp is closed from October 1st to April 1st.

About Camp Evergreen

Accomodations

Mill Creek meanders behind the lodge which has kitchen and dining areas for 80. A variety of heated cabins, A-frame chalets and open-air sleeping and cooking shelters offer a progression for the outdoor camper who comes to this wooded, secluded camp. Heated cabins sleep 24 with the A-frames and more rustic shelters housing up to 68.

Things To Do
  • Creek Wading: Mill Creek runs through camp providing both a relaxing, serene atmosphere and opportunities for creek wading. 
  • Bridges over Mill Creek: The Y Bridge and Cedar Bridge are foot bridges that cross Mill Creek and connect main camp to the units. The bridges are perfect for a bridging ceremony or for just watching the creek. 
  • Lookout Trail: This loop trail meanders through camp and features a scenic overlook of Mill Creek and the Lodge.  
  • Main Campfire Amphitheater: With benches to seat 100 around a fire circle next to Mill Creek, our main amphitheater is a cozy campfire area. Don’t forget the s’mores!  
  • Alder Hill Amphitheater: For a more intimate campfire area, check out this fire circle featuring split log benches tucked between the cabins and A-frames.  
  • Program Kits: Make Your Own Paper, Fun Hikes in Camp, a Flag Ceremony kit, and more are available for checkout from the camp ranger.

Rent Camp  

Evergreen is available March-October for site rental and is the perfect place for small Service Unit’s, Troops, and Families to gather! Check out the Rent Our Camps page to learn more.

Camp Evergreen’s operational property budget for the 2021-2022 membership year is $84,687. Funding for this is not guaranteed. For those who are able, we invite you to help support Camp Evergreen by helping fund the costs of maintaining this camp property.
