Community of Camp
heart_64_ornj

From the moment they arrive at camp, girls begin working together as a team.

Camp groups start off getting to know each other, talking about what they want to do while they're at camp, choosing what kinds of food they want to cook, working together on common unit Kapers (chores) and making agreements on ground rules for the group.

Your group might also choose to go further than the general camp program and work on specific camp beads, which you can earn and are given at the closing camp fire ceremony.

During your stay, you'll work alongside both other campers and the camp staff on group dynamics and help build a better community together.

"My daughter had an amazing experience at Robbinswold. She loved the counselors, the activities, the place ... she has not taken off her bead necklace since camp! She especially loved some of the camp traditions, including Dock to Rock. She was so proud of that. I think the fact that water is such a huge part of Robbinswold, the girls really love that. I can only say that her Robbinswold experience was 'magical,' she did not stop talking from the moment I picked her up until we arrived at the ferry. She loved all the counselors. Well done Girl Scouts!"
