What do flexibility, baking, sheer determination, empathy, emotional intelligence, and Girl Scouts have in common? These are the super powers of the Girl Scout alum that we honored at our Honoring Girl Scout Heroes event on September 23, 2021.
During this celebration of courageous leadership, we were inspired by current Girl Scouts including GSNorCal’s Girl Board Participants, Riya P. as our Emcee and Emmalee B. as our Awards Presenter. During the virtual fundraiser, we heard a moving message from Girl Scout Jessica B. about her experience through outdoor program and camp and there was a special guest appearance from GSUSA Interim CEO, Judith Batty.
A big heartfelt THANK YOU to all who supported and attended the Honoring Girl Scout Heroes event. The community came together and raised more than $178,000 (gross) through sponsorships, Fund-the-Future donations, and through our online auction. We did all of this for the girls!
