Girl Scout Bridging Season

It’s bridging season! This special Girl Scout tradition helps troops and service units take time to celebrate and recognize our girls’ accomplishments! We have bridging events for daisies, brownies, multi-level troops, and incoming cadettes and seniors to celebrate virtually together. Bridging kits are available for purchase in our online store, and we have lots of amazing resources for you to make this time of year special for your girls.

Spring Resources for a Bright Girl Scout Year

The world is getting greener: Girl Scout greener! Check out these resources and events for May:

Tajar’s Treehouse Registration Opens May 3

Registration for Tajar’s Treehouse, our super-flexible, super-affordable, and most importantly super-fun and interactive virtual summer program, opens in one week, Monday, May 3 at 10 AM. All girls entering K-5th grades are welcome. You don’t have to be a member to participate so your Girl Scout can invite all of their friends too! Each weeklong session is $60 for non-members and just $25 for members! Plus you can snag our camp apparel and support the Skylark Recovery Fund!

Help Plan the Girl Scout Cookie Season

Although Cookies 2021 has come to a close, the fun never stops! Join the Product Program team to celebrate our awesome cookie volunteers (a.k.a. you!) and review the results of the 2021 Cookie Program. We also will be launching product advisory boards for the Troop Experience to plan for Cookies 2022 at these meetings. So if you want to shape the Girl Scout Cookie future, make sure to register! Meeting dates are May 4 and May 8.

Tips for Planning a Virtual Event

While the Pandemic is hopefully winding down, virtual troop events are here to stay! The convenience and accessibility of Girl Scouts from home has widened what our troops can do together, and who can participate in Girl Scout sisterhood. So how do you plan a good virtual event? Troop Leader Heather shares her tips.

Does your employer offer “Dollars for Doers"?  Many companies encourage their employees to volunteer in the communities where they live and work—in turn, the employer will offer matching dollars for the hours. Inquire with your Human Resources department about your program, or check out this  list of companies  that offer this kind of financial support!
